Hello to you all. I recently read one article, posted by @codemojo and noticed some interesting activity. I have researched the behaviour of some of the community members of this site. I came to the conclution , that one of the members possibly created a few fake profiles to boost his popularity and get more likes. I think my discovery, based on my own research can improve the user experience on this site. Please check my paywall

I don't agree with your analysis. I believe said user is bringing new people from the site who are interested in their content only and that explains the results.
We have seen scam users - they do exist. They have a different profile.

I don't have any proof and hate to speak based on no facts but my gut tells me the person in question is responsible for the spam posts AND the "warning about spam" posts. I was a sysadmin long ago and can recognize the troll pattern. Sorry if I'm wrong here.

Interesting theories. A friend showed me that social media "likes" and "re-tweet" can be purchased online. Just youtube the subject and you can see some example. Its very possible that Ryan comments above is right and the person mention do attract people to the site which is great for the community. If it is a lot of alt account meant to promote a person...I guess they are paying for promotion? Can yours be "gamed"? In any case the person mentioned does write interesting articles. I personally think the more content there is on yours the better for everyone.
