I'm fairly confident we're not the only ones on the same wavelength. The Twitter environment is so hostile that other people on the same wavelength just aren't speaking up about it.
On the market of information, I agree that simply adding in a market is not the answer. Money is an important tool. But twitter could be radically improved without adding money - they just need to have the right values and change the dynamics of the product. Value truth, utility, substance, meaning. Discourage trolling, spam, lies, misinformation. They just aren't doing that right now because, like other social media apps, their top metric is engagement which they value over everything else.
