All Yours users have possession of their Bitcoin Cash private keys. Your private keys are derived from something called a "mnemonic" which is a string of words generated randomly. Yours Inc. does not have access to your private keys - we only store an encrypted version of your mnemonic to our server. Your mnemonic is encrypted with a hash of your password that we never see.
We recommend every user back up their mnenonic to make sure you can still access your funds in the event of an emergency, such as forgetting your password. Your mnemonic can be backed up on the cash page.
It is possible to import your Yours wallet into Electron Cash, a multi-platform Bitcoin Cash wallet. Here's how you do it.
First, be sure you are logged in, then get your mnemonic from the cash page.
When you run Electron Cash, it will either ask you to create a wallet when you first run it, or if you already have a wallet, you should go to the "file" menu and click "new/restore".

In the wallet creation window, type in a name for your wallet. It's a good idea to put "yours" in the name so you know that it refers to your Yours wallet :)

Next, choose "standard wallet".
https://ibb.co/hJBNO6
Then choose "I already have a seed".
https://ibb.co/c2uWGR
Then type in your mnemonic.

Before you can continue, you will need to click "options" and then choose "BIP39 seed". Leave the other options unselected.

Next, change the path to the original path type. The path should be m/44'/0'/0'

Next, insert an optional password to encrypt your new wallet. We recommend encrypting your wallet with a password.
https://ibb.co/nxqtVm
Next you will see your wallet. It will take a few minutes to synchronize. After it synchronizes you will see your full balance and all your Yours transactions in Electron Cash.

Note that Yours currently uses only the first address on the BIP39 wallet. If you send transactions in your Electron Cash wallet, they will not show up in Yours. We recommend using Electron Cash to restore your Yours wallet only if you cannot access the funds on Yours itself.
Thank you to Yours users kyuupichan, Jonald Fyookball, all other developers, and the original Electrum project from which it is forked for developing Electron Cash :)

Hi. This is outdated. It looks like the default derivation on Electron Cash is not the one writed on your screenshot.

One optional addition to this: after you import the mnemonic to Electron Cash, you can open the console and type getmasterprivate()
This will print out the "xprv....." string which you can save to backup. You can then import this without having to go through all the nonsense of specifying BIP39, path, etc.: Instead of "I already have a seed" you select "Use public or private keys".
Edit: Since Yours.org currently only uses one address, you can also just save the private key from the first address in the wallet.

It's good to have access to this information, especially because I didn't know it, but now I have the knowledge and I only have to do the process to be updated about the wallet in consideration. Thank you for keeping us informed. Greetings....

@Ryan X. Charles This needs a small but important update. As @indetronable commented before, the default derivation path in electron cash is now m/44'/145'/0'. The instructions need to tell users to change the path to the old m/44'/0'/0' instead of telling them to leave it.
