Catatumbo Lightning is located west of Lake Maracaibo and consists of thunderstorms, cloud to cloud, about seven kilometers high, which appear between 140 and 160 days a year with an average of 28 electric discharges per minute.

Each of these downloads, which are recorded for seven hours at night and at dawn, has energy to light 100 million light bulbs, which means that 15 minutes of activity would be enough to light all the bulbs of South America
