Yours.org Raises $1.5 M to Make Bitcoin Mainstream
Bitcoin has the potential to bring freedom to everyone in the world by fundamentally improving the nature of how the economy works. For the first time in history, we have sound money that can be sent near instantly and at near zero cost to anyone anywhere in the world. More importantly, Bitcoin’s smart contract system, Script, has the open-ended flexibility needed to power a permissionless financial system accessible to everyone with no intermediaries. Bitcoin is the future of the economy.
Yours.org is a social media application with a built-in Bitcoin payment system designed to get people paid for the work they do and improve the quality of content on the internet. Everyone uses social media and everyone earns and spends money. Yours.org is the tool they will use to interface with Bitcoin to leverage sound money, smart contracts, and to connect with people everywhere. Yours.org is your interface to the new economy.
Based on Bitcoin Cash (BCH), the fork of Bitcoin designed to scale to a global audience, Yours.org has grown rapidly since its launch in August, 2017. We are pleased to announced we have closed a fund raising round of $1.5 M lead by Bitmain and nChain, the two most important companies in the industry. Bitmain, the largest Bitcoin miner, develops the hardware used by most of the network to secure Bitcoin’s immutable history. nChain, the largest Bitcoin research & development firm, has developed the key insights that make it possible to scale Bitcoin to power the economy of the world (nChain is funding through its new investment entity, nChain Reaction).
Yours.org was founded in 2016 by Ryan X. Charles, the former cryptocurrency engineer of reddit, and Clemens Ley, the discoverer of the Turing-completeness of Bitcoin. We are using our new capital to hire a team of the world’s best people with an emphasis on engineering and growth. Yours.org is based in San Francisco, CA. If you are interested in joining us, please contact email@example.com.
